Doctoral student with nearly ten years of experience collaborating virtually within team environments, working in differing virtual classrooms, and website design. Currently, I work in a Forensic Psychology office as a predoctoral intern interventionist, where I have become proficient in assessment report writing, administering psychological and psychosexual evaluations, providing therapy to diverse clientele including children, adults, family, court ordered, and reunification services. During my Academic-Year-in-Residence with Walden University, I developed specific skills in the areas of:
1. Clinical Psychological Assessments: WAIS-IV, WISC-IV, MMPI-2 and Rorschach (Exner);
2. Psychological Interventions practicing CBT, Psychodynamic, and integrative therapy;
3. Multicultural Counseling and Ethical Practice;

Buwalda Psychological Services: Predoctoral Psychology Intern (August 2015-Current). Duties include the administration, scoring & interpretation of psychological assessments. Administration of varied psychological assessments. Providing therapy services to individual, family, couples, children, court-ordered, reunification services, and sex offender treatment.
Buwalda Psychological Services: Practicum student experience. Duties to include the administration, scoring & interpretation of psychosexual and neurological assessments including: Abel Screening, WAIS-IV, WISC-IV, MMPI 2 & A, PAI, PSI, and TAT to name a few. As well as providing outpatient and court ordered counseling, including reunification services, using CBT, DBT, & Psychodynamic approach. Have also gained experience acting as co-leader in a DBT group, and am in the process of implementing a DBT-based child support group for children of divorce.
Mentor/Counselor: Providing mentor assistance to graduate student peers, as well as informal counseling services—i.e. future planning, academic sounding board, group idea meetings, & stress prevention. As a mentor I worked with students to improve research skills, academic writing skills, APA manuscript skills, to generate ideas, and instructed students on how to use common software such as Microsoft Office, Grammerly, Zotero, & IBM SPSS.
Virtual Distance Learning Student (2003-Present): Participated in asynchronous/synchronous discussion threads and chats. Managed virtual team projects. Conducted Internet research. Working knowledge of course design, instructional design, student support, mentoring, and teaching at a distance.
Website Developer/Graphic Designer: Experience in HTML and CSS coding. Creating sites from scratch and utilizing design programs such as Adobe CS4 Web Suite and Serif Web Developer.
Entrepreneur: Have owned and operated my own businesses from 2000 to present. Duties included: supervising sales and marketing; production, design, acquisition, and distribution of products; and built/maintained e-commerce web sites. Also knowledgeable in the concepts of efficiently and profitably running a business, and managing a small workforce (3+ employees).
ACJA/Kappa Alpha Phi: Was active in the creation and development of Kaplan University's first fully online sorority, Kappa Alpha Phi (2004-2006). Collaborating with a virtual team to design and build the web site, providing an area for members to participate in synchronous and asynchronous chats, to collaborate with other colleagues and students, and to better understand the field of criminal justice.
LizzyLu Ceramics (2000-2006): Operated a ceramic business within Southwest Colorado. My shop carried an inventory of over 500+ ceramic molds. Was locally known for the production of quality and show worthy bisque. Primary duties included: Production/Design of all ceramic pieces; Marketing (branding--business logo "Where Clay Meets Creation"), customer service, cash transactions, oversaw all new product purchasing, direct sales.
General Contractor (1998-2001): Supervised a small workforce (6 people), scheduling of pick-up and deliveries (dump truck), managed all aspects of the office--in/outbound calls, scheduling, billing, customer service. Was involved in building stick-built homes and modular set-ups, setting foundations, and operating heavy equipment--Case Skid Steerer, Case Backhoe, 850D Dozer.
